Not possible, since you already merged your accounts. We will first have to delete your global account. (You will have local accounts on all merged wikis then.) Do you want that? Btw., you have to ask the bureaucrats on the respective wikis to get your accounts fixed there. Only those without local crats can be done by us. If the user account was created by a stalker/vandalizer this can easily be checked by the IP in the server logs (don't know: is this legal ?). Can a global CU be addressed regarding this ? If it is like this, then there should be no problem with usurping.

If not, I am not sure how this all is contradictory to the principle Wikipedia:Assume good faith (see also comment here).

0 edits can mean: that the user on de.WV didn't start a negative action against the user (or de.WV) since more than 230 days. You can also say: that user didn't contribute (positively) to de.WV - there are many other user accounts like this on de.WV and probably elsewhere. Hello. Please, delete global account Nad, which I own at present (verify). Although I reserved it for me two days ago, I discovered a conflict between me and a colleague, mediawiki software develper, who owns this this account on EN WP, Meta and MediaWiki (and maybe other projects as well). I got in contact with him, but he also wished to have this account for his SUL. I considered to allow him use it, so I ask to have it deleted in order to make the necessary preemptive usurpations. I would like to have my SUL as Nadina. I suppose that I will have to make separate local requests, but I will be thankful if you save me this effort and after deleting my global account, also usurp this account on the several local accounts where is was registered. As you can see, for the 11 projects, only 3 contributions were made, minor ones, and only 1 of the accounts is accessible via email. As a reminder, I am the guy with about 40 accounts created by a vandal (this vandal: Vandalism reports/BogaertB).

Further to this request, I know you do not make usurps on wikis with bureaucrats.

By the way, the usurpation was refused on the german WP because the vandal made 2 edits in december 2006! They put the request in some page for "possible future solution". I posted a follow up message on Help talk:Unified login, as I thought the suggestion Redux made was a good idea, and I think you should consider that.

But there is anyway something you can treat immediately: usurp on wikis without bureaucrats. So here is the list of accounts the vandal created. Could you please take care of the usurpation for all the wikis where there is no bureaucrat? I give you the whole list, including those accounts for wikis with bureaucrats.

We did not do anything. Right now the system of problem solving is quite time consuming and frustrating for users with that large lists. Right now You, if You want that, will have to ask on each wiki locally for a rename, if there are no or no active crats (check with Special:Listusers/bureaucrat) You can link us these wikis and we will do the renames if possible (depends on the contributions). Well, the communities know that SUL might happen for more than 2 years now, no one thought about discussing a policy or anything... You are not the only person with such problems now, we try to help as good as possible and do not badmouth about the workload, but if someone really wants to solve their sul problems, they have either to put work in there too (and not just lean back and upbraid around) or they have to wait until either for an automatic resolution or a community decision to make the process managable. The SUL was supposed to imply a policy of usurpation based mainly on the biggest number of editions. I understand that did not work. Then why the heck did you launch that thing? And if by "put work in it" you mean repeating on 40 wikis what I experienced on WP:de, i.e. being refused to usurp an account created by a stalker who made 2 editions in 2006, no thank you. I could stand the fact that my name was owned by a vandal on more accounts than what I control myself as long as I had the SUL in perspective, although it did have an impact on me. You (spacebirdy) should not feel personally attacked when I mention the fact that you (collective "you" designing you and your colleagues managing technically this stuff) launched the SUL without sufficient preparation. But please stop saying I don't wish to "do this" (work to achieve usurpation) while usurpation is just simply refused by the local bureaucrats. I do not want to be uncivil, but while you do not see any lack of help on this page, I did not find, as far as I am concerned, any help on this page, as while I am confronted with multiple issues created by a vandal, I am not an inch closer to the solution now than before I posted here. Also I do not agree with your point of view on the responsibility of the communities: the communities had to be coordinated on this subject, and since I heard about the SUL more than 2 years ago, it was always to refer to a process where usurpations would be settled in a centralised way based on certain criteria (such as number of editions and account creation date - which is by the way the reason why I choose the name Bradipus instead of Bradypus who already existed). • Avia's basis for that statement is not quite clear. The third of the 3 fa: bureaucrats (the one apparently named روزبه, sporting a blue "hat" on their user-talk page, and not offering a romanized version of his name) did edits connected with fa:user:WonYong/WonRyong on May 13, presumably abt a self-requested name change. That bureaucrat last edited on fa: on the 3rd of this month.
  No doubt the fa: bureaucrat's response in Farsi characters to a msg disclaiming ability to communicate in Farsi suggests at least a need for translation help for bureaucrat matters there. But i contest the characterization "totally inactive" -- especially since there are bureaucrat matters that it would be silly to handle in other than a project's native language. Presumably, these are by far the most important ones, and presumably (in normal, non-SUL-transition, times) they predominate in the request count and work load. I find that flat characterization uncivil, especially from those of us who are, on fa:, at best entitled the protection of BITE, and could quite fairly be seen as carpetbaggers there.

I myself cannot read any Farsi, including date, to see if your crat is still whether your bureaucrats are active. which IMO is cryptic, especially since "i would think you get reply" seems to have the opposite thrust of what you interpreted the remark as a whole to mean. There is a b-cat who was "active" on June 3, not to my knowledge necessarily as a b-cat, but in any case that contradicts any statement so unqualified as "the fa.wiki crats are totally inactive now".
IMO, you and i were simply being responsible in having requested usurpation of our respective silly little non-editing accounts, that are unlikely to ever produce edits, to ever be confused for ours, or to ever be useful to us. Pressing Stewards to override the recently editing B-crat's de facto decision -- let alone based on the evidence marshaled so far -- would get into the realm of bald men fighting for possession of a comb.

In your original ref to Mard, the lk you provided was [[#Avia|totally inactive now]]. I used it to open another tab while editing this section to reply, but your choice of an implicit spec of the page lkd meant, IIRC, my getting another edit window, either lacking the relevant portion or not apparently positioned usefully.
I consulted instead your other lk -- the one you provided in your reply to me. Unfortunately, that lk was to the diffs for the first edit to that section by Mard, and unfortunately you obviously did not read it thru, before citing it, to confirm that it said just what you remembered Mard as having said. Most unfortunately of all, i think, it seems you did not grant me AGF: Had you done so, surely you would, before your next response, have

followed the lk you had provided, and
copied from there, rather than (as you clearly did) from some other source.

It's also unfortunate that you aggressively placed that next statement inside my signed contrib, as if to ensure placing on adjacent lines your version and my version, thereby asserting to any reasonable reader that either

-- i had copied and pasted the text and explicitly removed three characters whose absence was crucial to my point, or

I was requested to ask here at en:WP:CHU/SUL. I am Ssr globally: at Meta, at Ru, Commons and others. But I had to use en:User:Ss r in En. Today I found myself logged in as Ssr in En (with no contribs) — that was a result of action by the En admin Andrevan (thanks to him). I want now my established account en:User:Ss r to be transferred to now-empty en:User:Ssr.

I'm requesting deletion of the global account, User:ChristianMan16, per his request.[5][6] This editor is community banned on his old home wiki, and has two accounts blocked there; w:en:User:Hornetman16 and w:en:User:ChristianMan16. I'm just trying to sort out the mess for him. Sorry, to clarify I can log into every account that was part of the deleted SUL (everything listed on the SUL collision tool). What I can't do is create a unified account again (My Preferences, Manage your global account) - the error I get when entering my password is this: [22]. Hello, accounts can not be deleted only renamed. If the account on es.wiki is Yours try to login and if You forgot the password get a new one via passwordrecovery. If it does not work and You want it to be renamed, if You own that account on es.wiki or not, You will have to ask for a rename in es.wiki: es:Wikipedia:Cambiar el nombre de usuario.

Yes, it worked, this is how SUL should work, being able to login with the accountname and password of the sul account to any wmf-wiki. :)

I'm not sure what's going on, so any help is appreciated. Basically, I tried to create a global account under the name Dulcem, which I use on the en.wikipedia and Commons. However, there was an account Dulcem on the pt.wikipedia that prevented the global account from being completely implemented. I requested usurpation of that account here, and I was told, "The account Dulcem has been usurped. However, it was not possible to rename this account once this username is reserved to a global account. Please go to Steward requests/SUL requests, in Meta, and make a request so that the account is released." Its not really important to delete your global account, and since a crat has renamed your account and neither has any significant edit, all you have to do is unlog from "Dulcem2" on that wiki, go to enwiki, which is your home wiki, log-in as "Dulcem", then click a link to the Portuguese wiki, and the name "Dulcem" will be yours :) ..--Cometstyles 03:44, 16 June 2008 (UTC)

No, I don't want to delete it. In the reference original request I was instructed to request unlocking it. Frankly I don't understand why.

What I want to do is to rename my local account here in Meta to the same name as my global account (أحمد) so that I can consolidate them. I do not want to rename my global account.

That user who gave You that advise is wrong, Your account does not need to be unlocked, it is not locked. To rename You from "Alif01" or something else to "أحمد" the sul account has to be deleted due to bug 13507. After that You have to remerge it again (activating sul again). In fact they first told me to delete my SUL account, but then after some arguing from me they said to unlock it.

Deleting the SUL account won't affect my existing local account on my home wiki (that is ar.wikipedia), right?

what about the bug reports I glimpsed that are mitigated when there are automatically created accounts? Once deleted, will I be able to reactivate SUL again and consolidate those automatically created accounts as well, or will I have to request deleting them one by one locally?

Lastly, do you recommend waiting until the bug you referenced is cleared?

I wish there was such option, to "unlock an account for renames", but right now the lock/unlock only means: locked=You can't login to any wikis.unlocked=default, logging to wikis is possible.

Deleting sul is not affecting Your homewiki account, it just unmerges all accounts and clears the registered global name.

There were some problems and bugs in the past, as You might have noticed, but they should have been fixed (I have tested that today with a testaccount, remerging without problems)

The things that could happen: some people reported that they got a different homewiki after remerging, but it should have been fixed with the latest bug, however I could not test that. The automatic created accounts were a problem in the past, and after deletion the password got lost, but that was fixed too, nevertheless I ask everyone to make sure that a valid email is set in special:preferences, so they can recover their accounts via email passwordrecovery if that happens again.

All Your autocreated accounts are newer, so they should not be affected (as said, with my testaccounts that worked):

To be honnest, I can not recommend You neither to wait for the fix of bug 13507, because we don't know if or when it might happen, nor to delete Your account, because this could be problematic. However, I think it can be done quite save, when following the recommendation to enter an email and to login to the old autocreated accounts, but it is Your decision now. If Your decision is yes, deletion, please do that confirmation on ar.wiki.

Hi, we can't delete the account en:User:Mywood, they have to rename it out of the way. To allow the renaming from Mywood2004 to Mywood Your SUL would have to be deleted.
