⚠️ Beginner Boost is retired indefinitelyThis project documents what was a live-streamed learning series. The Beginner Boost has been retired for the following reasons:
- Digital nomad lifestyle: Weekends are needed for travel between locations
- Personal autonomy: Shifting focus away from building things for others
- AI has transformed education: People can now create personalized learning plans with AI coaching. The critical skill is learning how to learn from AI, not following a pre-designed curriculum
- Tech careers have evolved: Jobs now require 9,000–10,000 hours of mastery across the full spectrum, not the 3,000-hour baseline from years past
- Career wisdom still shared: Real conversations about surviving tech careers, staying remote, and thriving continue through Nomad IRL
- Private mentoring: Focusing on individual mentoring with a few people at a time for more personalized guidance built on motivation and critical thinking, not hand-holding
- Autodidactic focus: Promoting self-directed learning and the development of critical thinking skills over structured, step-by-step instruction
- Focus on new projects: Dedicating time to developing the Nomad IRL application for the nomadic lifestyle community
The repository remains here as a historical record. Learning materials and career advice continue informally in the community.
