It's not the answer you were looking for, but I made my own CLI tool to set CHROME_PATH to Chromium versions shipped with Puppeteer.

aside: anyone know of a
nvm-like utility for Chrome/CHROME_PATH? I only have some aliases for setting canary/stable/build-from-source
