superfile has been the best terminal file xplorer in recent month since i started using it. I'm suggesting if you can improve this feature -- I'm using neovim , with lazygit as one of the plugins installed, however when using superfile as opposed to yazi, it doesn't show the directory of a project im working on when i naviigate to lazygit to push my changes ( i find blank screen -- likely showing superfile didn't pick my current working directory) |

@crisprtech Sorry, but I cannot understand this. I dont use lazygit, or many neovim plugins. What does navigate to lazygit means? Its a tool, not a directory, right? Is the issue that you are describing a plugin issue? Can you clearly give a problem statement, minimal reproducible example, and what is superfile expected to do? |

I just did that, latest pull request is probably mine with that feature. Works perfectly fine on linux, hopefully my changes get accepted to main. If you want it right now, you can visit my fork and download it from there: https://github.com/litvinov-git/superfile |

A .desktop file is useful -- not so it can show up in app launchers, but so other programs know to use it when clicking buttons like "open folder" or "see file in context". As for TUI managers not having one, yazi, ranger, and nnn all actually do. https://github.com/sxyazi/yazi/blob/main/assets/yazi.desktop And superfile already has one, anyway |

@booth-w Wow. I didn't knew superfile had one. So, how can users use that file? I suppose they can just copy the file to their system, and thats it. |

Fist I want to thank all the people who worked on this project and helped improving it, you are such a great community and I am happy to be part of it. That been said, there are some improvements I would like to see: (there are some entries that got mentioned here before but I'm gonna repeat them as they are important for me)

It does use a different trash system entirely so reading trash entries would have to change. |
Support for remote would require saved tokens, similar to rclone's current functionality. We'd need to add a secure token storage and handler as well, then. It's possible but it would be tedious unless we simply wrapped an existing implementation for remote access. |

Hi! In Nautilus, users can place executable scripts in the directory: Then, those scripts automatically appear in the context menu when right-clicking files or folders. This allows users to easily create their own file actions without modifying the file manager itself. For example, I maintain a set of useful scripts here: Having similar functionality in Superfile would make it much more flexible and customizable for power users. Suggested behavior:
This would be a simple but powerful feature to extend Superfile’ functionality and help users automate tasks. Example: Thanks for the great work! |

wow the are the creators of nautilus scripts, they made my life 10 times easier when I first switch from window, truly best addition to nautilus and yes I liked the idea to add a scripts support, this will lift some weight off the devs, so some requested features can be added from community scripts |

It is for image preview, right? We have the kitty image protocol, and the inline image protocol is in progress for implementation. Can you explain the use case of ueberzug? |

Kudos to the creators of this lovely software. **Improvements ** We would love if Superfile’s search behaves more like our Desired search features

I would like to have an option to configure mc (norton, total commander, etc) like experience. Select with space and shift, copy with F5 between tabs. I'm not calling to make this behavior default, but it will nice to expose a set of actions that can be assigned a shortcut. |

Looks good. Been trying it out. I do wish it had selection relevant hotkey hints displayed at the bottom like how Textualize/textual does it. Would make it a lot easier for newbies to get into it without having a cheatsheet up in another window. |
