Dear MSCS/ComPro Students, Prospective Students, and Alumni,
We are writing to share an important update about the MSCS/ComPro program.
Due to external factors at the national and international level, largely related to challenges with immigration regulations, enrollment in the program has declined significantly over the past 18 months. As a result, the university has made the difficult decision to pause admissions for new MSCS/ComPro students until further notice. We recognize this may be disappointing news, particularly for friends, family members, or colleagues who have been considering the program.
This decision does not affect currently enrolled students in any way. Your path to completing your MSCS degree continues as normal, and our faculty and staff remain fully committed to providing the academic and administrative support you need — whether that means completing your coursework, graduating, or navigating CPT and OPT. If you have any needs that are not currently met, please reach out, and we will do our best to help.
If you are a former MIU student who would like to return to complete your MSCS degree, please contact us to learn about the re-enrollment process.
While MSCS/ComPro admissions are paused, MIU continues to grow in many other degree areas. We encourage prospective students to explore the full range of programs available at miu.edu/academic-programs. MIU hopes that circumstances will change and that the MSCS/ComPro program will be able to welcome new students again in the future.

Why am I unable to submit my application for the MSCS program?
New enrollment in the MSCS program is paused for an indefinite time (as described in the letter above), and the application option has been removed for new applicants. You are welcome to visit www.miu.edu in the future to see if the MSCS program is accepting new students again.

I already started an application. What happens now?
Applications that were started but not submitted for the MSCS program will not be able to move forward at this time.
I already submitted my application. Will it still be reviewed?
If you have already submitted your application, our admissions team will communicate directly with you regarding your available options and next steps.
Are there alternative programs available?
Yes. Depending on your academic background and goals, there may be alternative programs available at MIU. Please explore our available programs at miu.edu/academic-programs.
Can returning students still apply?
