This is the fourth volume of the Encyclopedia of Neutrosophic Researchers, edited from materials offered by the authors who responded to the editor’s invitation. The authors are listed alphabetically. The introduction contains a short history of neutrosophics, together with links to the main papers and books. Neutrosophic set, neutrosophic logic, neutrosophic probability, neutrosophic statistics, neutrosophic measure, neutrosophic precalculus, neutrosophic calculus and so on are gaining significant attention in solving many real life problems that involve uncertainty, impreciseness, vagueness, incompleteness, inconsistent, and (...) indeterminacy. Las plataformas tradicionales de mapeo de opinión emplean análisis de componentes principales (PCA) y agrupamiento para visualizar paisajes de opinión pública. Sin embargo, estos enfoques se basan en marcos lógicos binarios o difusos que pueden no capturar adecuadamente la ambigüedad inherente y la naturaleza multidimensional de las creencias humanas. Este artículo presenta una aplicación novedosa de la lógica neutrosófica al análisis de percepciones sobre el cambio climático, demostrando ventajas significativas sobre los métodos tradicionales de análisis de consenso. Utilizando una encuesta (...) de 84 residentes en Guayaquil, Ecuador, empleamos una escala Likert neutrosófica que captura tres dimensiones independientes: verdad (T), indeterminación (I) y falsedad (F) para cada elemento de la encuesta. Nuestro análisis revela dos grupos de respondientes distintos: un grupo "Altamente Comprometido pero Conflictivo" (34.5% de los respondientes) caracterizado por puntuaciones elevadas en las tres dimensiones, y un grupo "Moderadamente Aceptante" (65.5%) con perfiles dominados por la verdad. Los hallazgos clave demuestran que el análisis neutrosófico descubre complejidad oculta en datos de opinión que los enfoques binarios o difusos obscurecerían, permitiendo estrategias de comunicación más dirigidas y efectivas. Misinformation and biased information significantly impact public perception and political decisions, especially on critical issues such as climate change and environmental conservation. This study aims to understand how indeterminacy and contradiction influence public perception and policy formulation by applying neutrosophic theory to model the complexity and multi-dimensionality of ignorance. Using neutrosophic Likert scales, we capture a nuanced spectrum of opinions on the scientific certainty of human impact on climate change. The results are analyzed through a k-means clustering algorithm to identify (...) patterns and segment participants into groups based on their levels of truth, indeterminacy, and falsehood. This approach reveals deeper insights into public perceptions and aids in evaluating their implications for effective communication and policy-making. (shrink)

Este artículo propone un marco de pluralismo lógico aplicado al análisis causal en inteligencia artificial (IA) y ciencias sociales. Basado en la tesis pluralista de que no existe un único concepto monolítico de causalidad, sino una familia de conceptos relacionados, confrontamos la premisa humeana de que “no observamos la causalidad” con el contraargumento de Anscombe de que, de hecho, percibimos acciones causales como empujar, golpear y cortar. Sobre esta base, presentamos un estudio ilustrativo que compara el Análisis Comparativo Cualitativo de (...) conjuntos nítidos (csQCA), el de conjuntos difusos (fsQCA) y el neutrosófico (nQCA). De esta comparación, derivamos implicaciones metodológicas y sustantivas. Metodológicamente, encontramos que: (i) la dicotomización estricta (csQCA) puede subestimar las relaciones causales; (ii) la pertenencia gradual (fsQCA) captura más eficazmente la fuerza y relevancia empírica; y (iii) la descomposición neutrosófica (nQCA) considera explícitamente la verdad, la indeterminación y la falsedad, ofreciendo así un diagnóstico pluralista de la relación causal. Enriquecemos aún más este análisis incorporando una visión pluralista de la causalidad, que abarca la producción mecánica, la diferencia contrafactual, las capacidades/disposiciones y los mecanismos. Cet article aborde le défi de modéliser formellement les systèmes de connaissance complexes, souvent contradictoires, propres à la pensée décoloniale latino-américaine. Il introduit le MultiPerspectivisme Neutrosophique, un cadre théorique qui opérationnalise le perspectivisme philosophique à l’aide de la logique neutrosophique. Nous posons comme postulat que la connaissance est située et que la vérité est médiée par le point de vue de l’observateur — un concept enraciné dans la philosophie nietzschéenne mais qui trouve une expression singulière dans les cosmologies amérindiennes et (...) les systèmes juridiques pluralistes. La méthode principale consiste à proposer un Modèle de MultiPerspectivisme Neutrosophique, utilisant des ensembles multi-neutrosophiques pour représenter les perspectives subjectives sous forme de triplets de séquences de vérité, d’indétermination et de fausseté ⟨T, I, F⟩. Un résultat clé est le développement d’une fonction de similarité permettant de quantifier l’affinité entre différentes perspectives, transformant ainsi des points de vue qualitatifs en données analysables. Ce modèle est appliqué à une étude de cas portant sur un conflit foncier juridique, où il permet de révéler des similitudes structurelles cachées — telles qu’un style de raisonnement absolutiste partagé entre des parties opposées — et d’identifier des alliances stratégiques potentielles. La conclusion principale est que la logique neutrosophique offre un outil mathématique robuste pour naviguer à travers l’ambiguïté et la pluralité des réalités perspectivistes, allant au-delà de la simple reconnaissance de la différence vers son analyse formelle et son intégration possible.. This study addresses the ambiguities in empirical findings on artificial intelligence (AI) in education by proposing a new methodological framework that combines neutrosophic stance detection and Fuzzy Set Qualitative Comparative Analysis (fsQCA). This approach explicitly models truth, indeterminacy, and falsity, allowing for the synthesis of contradictory research. The authors evaluated four causal hypotheses related to AI-based learning, using a survey of 24 university participants to explore the necessary conditions for perceived learning improvements. The results indicate that the digital divide is (...) a perfectly necessary condition for effective AI-enhanced learning. The findings also reveal that AI feedback and AI platform use are necessary, though not sufficient, for learning improvements, but generate significant uncertainty. The study concludes that the neutrosophic-fsQCA framework is a viable technique for synthesizing ambiguous findings and provides empirical evidence that digital equity and high-quality design are crucial for the successful integration of AI in education. A special issue of the International Journal in Information Science and Engineering “Neutrosophic Sets and Systems” (vol. 69/2024) is dedicated to the Neutrosophic approaches in research, on the occasion of the international and multidisciplinary conference held at the Universidad César Vallejo in Lima, Peru, on July 8 and 9. This event marks a significant milestone, as it is the first time that the Andean region and Latin America host scholars and researchers dedicated to studying various theoretical and applicative issues in (...) the expansive and diverse field of Neutrosophic approaches. Since its conception, Neutrosophic theory has proven to be an interdisciplinary and innovative field, notably growing with the introduction of several generalizations of Neutrosophic Sets, such as Plithogenic Sets, Hypersoft Sets, IndetermSoft Sets, SuperHyperSoft Sets, and MultiAlism. These advanced conceptualizations have further expanded the versatility and application range of Neutrosophic theory, allowing its adoption in an ever-increasing spectrum of disciplines. The conference, with its international and multidisciplinary character, has brought together experts and scholars from various fields, providing a unique platform for the discussion and exchange of ideas on the multiple applications of Neutrosophic approaches. This special issue also addresses how scientific production in Neutrosophy focuses on social issues specific to Latin American philosophy. In the regional context of Latin America, it is possible to state that Neutrosophic tools and knowledge are used for the identification, analysis, and resolution of social problems, offering unique approaches or distinctive contributions to the field of Neutrosophy, influenced by its cultural and philosophical context. Neutrosophic science in Latin America shows a clear pattern of how scientific production addresses social problems, standing out for its innovative approaches that reflect the cultural and philosophical particularities of the region. This approach has allowed Neutrosophy not only to advance in theoretical terms but also to provide practical and contextually relevant solutions to social challenges. This special issue compiles works presented at the conference, reflecting the richness and diversity of current research in this field. A special issue of the International Journal in Information Science and Engineering “Neutrosophic Sets and Systems” (vol. 71/2024) is dedicated to the Conference on NeutroGeometry, NeutroAlgebra, and Their Applications, organized by the Latin American Association of Neutrosophic Sciences. This event, which took place on August 12-14, 2024, in Havana, Cuba, was made possible by the valuable collaboration of the University of Havana, the University of Physical Culture and Sports Sciences "Manuel Fajardo," the José Antonio Echeverría University of Technology, University of (...) Informatics Sciences and the Cuban Academy of Sciences among other institutions. In 2019 Smarandache generalized the classical Algebraic Structures to NeutroAlgebraic Structures (or NeutroAlgebras) {whose operations and axioms are partially true, partially indeterminate, and partially false} as extensions of Partial Algebra, and to AntiAlgebraic Structures (or AntiAlgebras) {whose operations and axioms are totally false} and on 2020 he continued to develop them. The NeutroAlgebras & AntiAlgebras are a new field of research, which is inspired from our real world. In classical algebraic structures, all operations are 100% well-defined, and all axioms are 100% true, but in real life, in many cases these restrictions are too harsh, since in our world we have things that only partially verify some operations or some laws. Similarly, a classical Geometry structure has all axioms totally (100%) true. A NeutroGeometry structure has some axioms that are only partially true, and no axiom is totally (100%) false. Whereas an AntiGeometry structure has at least one axiom that is totally (100%) false. And in general, in any field of knowledge one has: Structure, NeutroStructure, and AntiStructure which were inspired from our real world where the laws (axioms) do not equally apply to all people and in the same degree. This special issue aims to highlight the most recent advances and applications in the fields of NeutroGeometry and NeutroAlgebra, two areas that are at the forefront of contemporary mathematical and scientific thought. During the conference, the mathematical foundations and practical applications of these disciplines were explored, as well as their relevance in the MultiAlism system and other interdisciplinary areas. The content of this special issue has been carefully selected to reflect the diversity and depth of the topics discussed at the conference. This event and the subsequent publication of these works underline the growing importance of neutrosophic theories in the current scientific landscape. This volume contains the proceedings of the Mediterranean Conference on Neutrosophic Theory (MeCoNeT 2024), held at the Accademia Peloritana dei Pericolanti of the University of Messina on September 24-25, 2024. The event was organized by the MIFT Department (Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, and Earth Sciences) of the University of Messina, marking the first international congress on neutrosophic theories outside the Americas. This milestone has firmly established the Mediterranean region as a key hub for research in the rapidly growing field of (...) neutrosophic theory. The MeCoNeT 2024 conference drew over 100 participants from more than 15 countries, with more than 50 scientific contributions selected through a rigorous peer review process. The hybrid format of the event—featuring in-person sessions at the historical Accademia Peloritana dei Pericolanti and online parallel sessions—allowed for broad international participation. In Liberalism’s religion, Laborde defends a liberal egalitarian position and tackles, from a new perspective, some issues dealt with in his republican writings. This article examines some of these issues, paying attention to the place that the recognition of identities occupies both in her republican and in her liberal theories, as well as the type of justification advanced in both cases. Supporters of neutrality as benign neglect argue that a neutral state should not grant any type of recognition to cultural or religious groups. Liberal multiculturalists argue instead that due to the non-neutral nature of public institutions, democratic states must adopt policies that recognize and accommodate the distinctive needs of ethnocultural groups. This article examines a different way of conceiving the principle of neutrality. In this conception, developed by Alan Patten in the framework of liberal multiculturalism, a state can only be (...) neutral when it extends equivalent levels of assistance/hindrance to rival conceptions of the good. Neutrality is thus reinterpreted to become a principle justifying the religious exemptions. The article highlights some aspects of this theory that should be reconsidered.// -/- Les défenseurs de la neutralité bienveillante soutiennent qu’un État neutre ne doit accorder aucun type de reconnaissance aux groupes culturels ou religieux. Les multiculturalistes libéraux avancent pour leur part que, en raison de la nature non neutre des institutions publiques, les États démocratiques doivent adopter des politiques vi-sant la reconnaissance et l’accommodement des besoins distinctifs des groupes ethnoculturels. Cet article examine une manière diffé-rente de concevoir le principe de neutralité. Dans cette conception, développée par Alan Patten dans le cadre du multiculturalisme libé-ral, un État ne peut être neutre que s’il assiste ou entrave de manière équivalente les différentes conceptions du bien. This article proposes to demonstrate that universal principles are not correlative to ontological necessity. To this end, an abstraction scheme will be proposed that aims to be compatible with any universal. It will imply an intrinsically conditional notion of knowledge and will be limited by what we will call the principle of access: only that which can be accessed in some way, whether immediately or mediately, can be known. Once the aforementioned structure is established, it will be justified how it (...) resolves potential circularity and its compatibility with the traceable emergence of logical foundations will be shown. This path will be proposed as a bridge between the phenomenological school and the analytic school, and it will be outlined that some of the major problems of each could be resolved with tools from the other. Group deliberation is the central topic of this dissertation. Specifically, here we study the relevance of the order of the speakers to deliberations that happen in groups. People deliberate in groups all the time. They deliberate at home, in governmental institutions or at their working place for deciding on simple or less simple matters. Naturally, the outcome of a group deliberation might be influenced by some expected factors: the different options that will be considered, the rationality of the speakers, and (...) the accepted ways of argumentation. However, it would be unfortunate if the outcome of a deliberation was influenced by the order in which the speakers presented their arguments. This idea motivates the leading question of this dissertation: does a deliberative situation favour the first speaker of the group? Our leading question will take slightly different forms through the dissertation, and to be able to answer them we use models as a medium of representation. That is, we take a deliberative situation, we describe it as its model structure, and we answer our original question on that structure. Likewise, in the case of a similar question, this time regarding a family of deliberative situations instead of a single one, we turn the question and the scenario into a question and a scenario about a family of models. The central result of this dissertation contrasts the opinion-strength of the first speaker with the opinion-strength of any other individual that takes part in a deliberation. Broadly said, it claims that if we consider a family of possible deliberative situations, the “region” in which the first speaker has advantage is visibly larger than the one in which this does not happen. Moreover, this effect increases with the number of acceptable opinions in a debate. The previous result should be uncomfortable to any deliberative account that intends to fulfill the next two constraints at the same time: the first constraint requires that the account follows the generic structure of deliberations that we present in this work. The second one requires that from a moral, utilitarian or epistemic perspective, deliberations take place in a fair environment. Consequently, in order to be on the safe side, deliberative accounts under this category should always provide arguments that show them to be immune to this order dependence concern. (shrink)
