Releases are packaged with release notes. The notes are here: https://github.com/jgyates/genmon/blob/master/changelog.md When are release is tagged, the release notes in the repository are tagged with that release history. I only use the process of tagging a Release for archival purposes. This is why you do not see consecutive version numbers on the https://github.com/jgyates/genmon/releases page but there are consecutive version numbers in the changelog.md file. This is the way that I manage active development: When the version number changes, the software will send out a notification (email and short message) to the configured email Changes are made incrementally and after a number of modification have been made and used I update the version number. I realize that his is not how some larger projects do releases, but since the development is mostly just me, it is easer for me this way. If someone wants to contribute the best way is to submit a PR or mail me the updates. Now that you mention it, I guess it is probably a good time for an archival release. |

I'm curious why the releases aren't packaged with release notes. On github it looks like there has not been a release in over a year but when I happened to check through the genmon software there was multiple updates I had missed.
