Here is s a screenshot of an Object i gave a little bit of grey. This is much more pleasing especially when more Objects are selected. Next on the right there is a selected Object as it is now.
I chose the grey-ish white from the color palette.
i would also like to argue that with slightly colored selected Objects, the white selection window for dragging ALs would get a better visual impact and stand out.
