Why read about an idea when you could visualise it
Overall Satisfaction with Miro
I work as a Front-End Developer and was using Confluence to do my documentation. But after getting introduced to Miro, my entire outlook changed. I could create feature documentation, research flows and all my work related diagrams in a single place with a lot of tools and features.
I could create flow diagrams that actually helped understanding my proposed solution easier and I could use Miro provided templates which eased creating custom boards for each piece of work.
And the best part is, it easily integrated with JIRA and all the tools provided by it.

Pros
- Create an entire architecture diagram with ease, especially the provided graph like layout, which helps align items in a structured manner.
- Create custom boards and use sticky notes to do retro sessions and use links of specific board areas in connected JIRA apps.
- Use provided templates which would act as a boilerplate in most situations.
Cons
- Give a tooltip about what a specific tool does so that it would be easier to use.
- Having a version history helped analyse the changes we did to a board and hence, to the work and why.
- Created diagrams for documents which were written earlier and now can be visually communicated to team members which helped us in reducing task discussions by 50%.
The tools/ features that I have used include but not limited to, templates, sticky notes, text, shapes and lines, frames, stickers and comments.
Yes, I have already mentioned that Miro reduced my dependency on Confluence by JIRA.
Why should we restrict ourselves to text when we could visually communicate the same and in a better way? That's what I achieved using Miro.
