Loved the location - it was in city centre, but still secluded, not loud at any time of day. The aesthetics and vibes in the whole hotel were amazing, very beautiful. The staff was very helpful and kind. Only regret is not booking the 'bath room', which was not available at the time when i was making reservations.

Everything was great. The staff, the place - perfect for a get-away. Everything was so clean. The pool, bowling, dinner - all the things in one place + evenings walk by the beach. We also went to the ‘play room’ - such a fun memories in this hotel. I’m looking forward to stay there again. Perfect for couple or friends.

Perfect beach front for family with young kids, all the restaurants are very child friendly the beach is not deep so I wasn’t worried for the kids.. Nuis and Kayuca are great restaurants in the beach front.. We occasionally dig in the food trucks which is delicious as well.. The beach will be enough to keep the kids busy and for the parents to relax 😎

THe beach is beautiful. You can walk for miles. It's sandy not rocky, with tiny seashells. I think they must clean the beach every morning as there was very little garbage laying around. The pier has two levels, making for a nice walk out into the water with nice views. It was fun watching people bungy jump and zip line. There are many fast food choices on the bottom level with an arcade and play area for children on the bottom level.

The town is quite small with everything being in close proximity to each other which is great! Plenty of different types of restaurants to cater for every taste. The Post Office is situated in a bike shop, if you need to send a card back home - speedy service our cards arrived within a week, brilliant. Two supermarkets are located at the edge of town, Lili, and Jumbo so very easy to use. Point to note, generally in Holland cash has virtually become redundant being a cashless society. So if you bring 100's with you be prepared to take them back, that't how life is becoming, sadly!

This is beautiful coastal city boasting clean beaches.

This is beautiful coastal city boasting clean beaches. The annual Fair was in town while we were there & coupled with the market, made for a delightful walking tour through downtown. We strolled the promenade, had drinks & treats at a variety of cafes & found the cutest shops to browse. Most of our time was spent with my extended family, which made our visit all that much more enjoyable.

Egmond aan Zee is a charming little beach town in the Netherlands with all the shops and Restaurants you could wish for. As a family of four we liked to walk to the Dekamarkt for our daily breakfast and snacks at the beach. At night we would eat at restaurants, at the typically Dutch snackbar 'Bij Brigitte' or eat Kibbeling(fish) at the Coast. We rented bikes for the day to travel further out. The remains of a castle in Egmond aan de Hoef was very interesting for our preteens and the next coastal town over 'Bergen aan Zee' was lovely as well. We visted the Aquarium there which was facinating for the entire family. Venturing out by foot into the Duinen is recommended as well. We saw wild Horses, oxes and a gorgeous sunset. In the Smidstraat there was a little secondhand Shop full of antiques. So much so that it seemed more a Museum than a shop! Everybody seemed to be able to speak a little German and if not their amazing english skills were impressive! I hope you have a wonderful time in Egmond aan Zee.
