What an amazing setting with the most beautiful cottage with plenty room . Highly recommend this as a perfect place to stay with so many little extras too many to list and wouldn’t want to spoil the surprise

Everything particularly the location. Nicky was an exceptional host too.

The beds were very comfortable. The living area was lovely. The outdoor area was pleasant and private. The AC worked well, keeping the indoors warm on those cold nights. The kitchen had plenty of crockery and cutlery and good appliances. It was very convenient to have a great pub across the road. A short and pleasant walk to the CBD, including Art Gallery, Museum, shopping area and restaurants. Our car (7 seater) didn't fit in the garage but cheap ($12 per day) parking areas were close by. Relatively quiet street.

One of the best houses I have stayed in! Immaculate, pristine, large house in a great location. High quality furnishings, modern bathrooms, modern kitchen, comfortable beds, fluffy white towels, soft cotton bedding and a great ducted heating / cooling system. Lots of useful food items in the kitchen- herbs, cooking oil, tea, coffee, sugar, flour, condiments etc. Excellent communication from the lovely owner. There is a free bus into town about 50 meters away. Lots of restaurants and a supermarket 1 minute walk away. Very highly recommended.

Spacious two bedroomed apartment with air con and kitchen/diner. Great property and no issues at all.

Beautiful old little cottage felt like second home

I loved the homely feel. Loved the character and the furniture. It was a lovely touch.

Excellent location with close proximity to central Chinatown and the CBD just beyond. All the facilities you could need with full kitchen and laundry (including an excellent coffee machine!). Great water pressure in the shower and two separate toilets. Plenty of room for three or four guests. Timely and helpful communication with host at all times. Highly recommended for a short or long term city stay.

Spacious house, very big and comfy bed, super clean….

Velvet Cottage was very comfortable and exceptionally clean, all the facilities were great. Location was fabulous, lovely area of the city fringe. Being able to park within the property was also excellent.

Location and the host was being considerate upom our requests.
