Everything about this hotel is fabulous. There is so much history attached to the hotel. It was like being transformed back in time. The staff are all helpful and polite. Excellent food in all the restaurants. Beautiful, clean, and comfortable rooms. I can't find anything negative to say about this hotel. 100% recommend a stay here when visiting Penang.

A Palm-Lined Pearl

An island and part of the mainland make up the small Malaysian region of Penang, also known as the ‘pearl of the Orient’. It has long been coveted and the capital Georgetown has many elegant Colonial buildings. The observation deck of the KOMTAR tower – the tallest building – offers spectacular views of the town and surrounding mountains.

A funicular railway goes up to Penang Hill deep in the forest. Nearby Air Itam has one of Asia’s largest Buddhist temples - Kek Lok Si – lit by hundreds of lights at night. Another fantastic temple is Taoist Kong Hock Keong in Georgetown.

Penang Airport is near southern Bayan Lepas, and across the Malacca Strait is Pulau Jerejak, a peaceful island where trees merge into ocean.

In the much livelier north, Batu Feringghi is the largest resort, with lots of Penang hotels on the beach, plenty of bars and a night market. East, green mountains slope down to blue waters at Tanjung Bungah, where several high-rise hotels overlook the palm-lined beach towards the Floating Mosque just offshore.

On the mainland Butterworth is the departure point for ferries to Penang island, and has a bird park housing a large number of Malaysian species. Wherever you decide to stay, Booking.com has a fantastic range of Penang hotels and apartments to choose from.

Outstanding 5 Star Hotel. We can highly recommend this hotel. We extended 2 times because of the extraordinary service and overall experience. Very very friendly personal who made us feel at home right away. Everybody went the extra mile to fulfil every request we had. We have stayed in a lot of hotels the last couple of years but this one is very special and offered the overall best experience so far. The breakfast was a dream come true. The gym is very well equipped and maintained with great machines and a free weight area. The standards offered by this hotel can be compared with every 5 star hotel in Europe and the service offered is even better then most of the 5 star hotels in Europe. Lovely experience for us with lots of great memory's made. We will definitely come back! Keep the good service up and don't change anything!

All the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast buffet was great and changed everyday. The breakfast room has huge opening windows and overlooks the sea on both sides of the island. Clean comfortable beds and the room had an opening window. Great location just down the road from Chowasti market, also can catch free CAT bus from there, Durian stall next to hotel and The Red Garden Food Court is behind the hotel. Also check out Wai Kee Cafe for delicious BBQ Pork on Chulia Road

We enjoyed the place a lot, staff were very helpful. Although I lost my guarantee letter I was still given back my cash. Definitely coming back this place was one of the things that made me love Penang. The breakfast was amazing with lots of varieties. 😅I wish the way to the parking was a little bit bigger, but it was fine.

Loved China Town and all the wall art.

Loved China Town and all the wall art. Would certainly recommend going on one of the hour-long tours sitting on the bike with the man peddling. (I can't remember the name of these bikes.) It was well worth spending the money.

'I like Batu Ferringhi......this was a nostalgia visit. It is in the throes of being updated, moving stalls to more permanent structures, fixing the pavements etc. Not before time. Very heavy traffic at weekends. The food is still good. The beach (water) wasn't that clean. Maybe it's the season? Very few were swimming in the sea. I would not have either.

The small town has changed a lot, but still buzzling with lives and activities. A bit problematic to navigate the roads that can be confusing to those who visit the first time. The hotel should do a survey on the local food and provide a list of eateries worth trying.

Perai is an Underrated Land to Explore which is a another Option Place to Stay to avoid Massive Traffic in Penang Island. Hotels, Food, Fast Access to Exit the highway and the Shopping Malls are within 5-8mins drive. Obviously money worth it compared to spending so much in our accommodation on the Island.

recently stayed at this Airbnb, and unfortunately, the experience was not great. The house is located very close to a mosque, and the loud prayers start at 6 AM daily, which is disruptive if you’re planning to sleep in. The house is also much smaller than expected for a double-storey unit. The living room is cramped and not ideal for hosting friends. All the rooms are small, and the kitchen is equally compact, so don’t expect much space here. A major inconvenience is the smart key system, which turns off the electricity when you leave the house. This means you can’t leave any devices charging or keep the air conditioning running while you’re out for lunch or dinner. Plus, there’s no air conditioning in the living room, which makes the space uncomfortable during hot days. Communication was another issue. The owner does not understand English and only speaks Malay, which made communication uncomfortable for me. On top of that, there is a CCTV camera outside the car porch, and the owner won’t allow you to turn off the modem, so it feels like you’re being constantly monitored. I found this quite unsettling. Lastly, the water pressure in the toilet is low, which was an additional disappointment. Overall, this stay was not as expected, and there are better options available for the price.

Beach pleasant but fear of jelly fish prevented much swimming. Buses great and cheap. Several food options available very locally, including Ang Ang’s, banana leaf restaurant, Lebanon restaurant and shops easily accessible on ⚽️

Plenty of upmarket trendy cafes in the complex. Food court in nearby Lotus shopping mall. Good quality food and Juice bars. Grab service is the option as public transport is almost a nonevent. The cafe strip overlooking the Marina is about the place to be. Sams supermarket is something special.

Room was small. Like Singapore and Hong Kong Hotels. Rates can be quite expensive. Breakfast option and taste was mediocre. But otherwise it was an enough stay for 3 days 2 nights. Anything more would be uncomfortable in a room that size. Very near Design Village Outlet. There is a small park nearby you can exercise in as well. Unfortunately the shops around the immediate area of the hotel is still quite empty. The hallway lights are a bit too bright. It should be dimmed at night. Otherwise you can see the light seep through under your door. We placed a towel.
