The room and bathroom are spacious and very clean. Fast Wifi. Friendly staff and good amenities, the pool area is great and has a nice little bar. The sound proof windows let you sleep like a baby. Our highlight was the breakfast, simply amazing. The location is convenient, close to the city center and beach but away from the main noisy area.

The property was beautiful, and the staff were super helpful. We had an extremely positive experience at this beautiful Villa and the breakfast was yum. The staff were super accommodative over our state. We had arrived very early in the morning and wanted to check in early. They tried their best accommodators and even provided us with a larger room as it was available earlier. The owner of the hotel is extremely amicable and is such a friendly human being. Our overall experience was excellent and would highly recommend this stay!

The hotel met all my expectations. Compared to other hotels on San Andres, which look tired and old, this hotel is very new, modern, with a nice interior. The beach is a 5-minute walk away. The staff is helpful. If I ever return to the island, I will definitely choose this hotel.

We stayed at The Providence Boutique Hotel for our honeymoon, and everything was absolutely perfect. The peaceful atmosphere, stunning views, and charming setting made it the ideal place to relax and enjoy every moment. The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and always available to help — they truly made us feel welcome and cared for. Every detail of our stay was thoughtful and well taken care of. The food at the restaurant was absolutely delicious — every meal was a treat! And the view of the infinite sea from the hotel is simply breathtaking. This hotel is a true gem where calm and beauty meet. We couldn’t have dreamed of a better place for such a special occasion. Thank you to the entire team for making our honeymoon unforgettable!

The Sunset Hotel in San Andres and the family who runs it (all of whom speak English) truly deserve an excellent rating. Located in a very quiet spot, far from the hustle and bustle of the city center, yet overlooking one of the island's most beautiful marine areas, it's a great place to rest, relax, snorkel, or participate in the diving activities offered and organized by the hotel's specialized staff. We arrived at the hotel at 11:00 AM, and even though check-in was scheduled for 3:00 PM, they still made our room available to us right away. All the staff are extremely kind and available to offer suggestions and assistance. The owner, on the day of our arrival, spent a good hour chatting with us to understand what we wanted to do and then direct us in the best possible way. He booked a scooter for us from a supplier he knew, personally verifying that the documents were in order and arranging delivery and return procedures. The restaurant is very simple but excellent quality and affordable, and the cook is very courteous and helpful. Breakfast was also good and satisfying. Certainly a point of reference on the island that should be taken as an example by the many other operators and administrators who prefer to fleece tourists and leave a lot of rubbish on the streets. Thanks again to the Sunset Hotel in San Andres, definitely recommended.

Sadly San Andres is run down, dirty and expensive.

Sadly San Andres is run down, dirty and expensive. Save your travel money for Medellin or Bogota when traveling in Colombia. They try and compete w Europe & Miami when it comes to prices for Hotels, Rental Cars (buggies) and restaurants, but they are not even close in quality. I love Colombia, just not the beach towns / islands

Nature-wise, it's amazing! The 7-color sea is true.

Nature-wise, it's amazing! The 7-color sea is true. We swam with sharks, rays, and beautiful fish at the aquarium. Beautiful beaches (although some of them are full of seaweed), alcohol is cheap, and food is nice. I would change the attitude of some people. They want to charge you for everything; they are not polite; they want to take advantage of the tourists. We went to a bar that was empty, and they told us we needed to book. It was empty!! On a tour to Johnny Cay, they took us to see a ship that sank like 40 years ago, and they wanted to charge extra for that. Seriously?

San Andrés is a beautiful and vibrant island with incredibly friendly people and a rich culture. The beaches are stunning, with plenty of options for snorkeling, diving, freediving, waterskiing, or even parasailing. Getting around is easy—buses can take you almost anywhere, but we mostly used motorcycle taxis for convenience. We spent New Year’s there, which was magical with everyone on the beach dressed in white! Finding a restaurant on New Year’s Eve was a challenge we didn’t anticipate, but in the end we enjoyed a tasty burger from a street stand. Overall, the island offers a mix of relaxation and adventure, with vibrant local life, delicious food options, and plenty of water activities. It’s perfect for both exploring and simply enjoying the beach, and we would love to return someday.

Most affordable Caribbean island , GREAT FOOD, everyone...

Most affordable Caribbean island , GREAT FOOD, everyone speaks English and Spanish , small and quaint island where you will run into people you know. BRING CASH , only 1 currency exchange and they run out of cash, very few people accept credit cards. Don’t rent the MULA golf cart expensive instead take the bus for $1 or walk or call a taxi. Eat at FRANCESCAS, or capi beach, or aqua club (better for kids to swim in calm ocean waters),or “el peruano” best beaches and most private places with the BEST ocean views !! All these locations are also best for ADA elderly or people with disabilities or wheelchair they have ramps good bathrooms and easier to access tables we had a wheelchair and a walker and these were the best spots by far for us to navigate ask taxis for a mini van also for the wheelchair! Never stay passed 5pm or 6pm the latest at the beaches or you may be stranded buses stop running at 7pm and very few people around tough to get home !! Had to walk 1 hour

Only go if you like chaos, dirt, and loud music every 10 meters. This is not a destination if you want to rest and see nice beaches. The people are completely disrespectful and drive like maniacs. Apparently is completely acceptable in Colombia to bring your own Bluetooth speaker to the beach and turn it on at max volume. The problem is that everyone has the same great idea so you end up with five speakers less than 20 meters away from you. This is not a good beach destination at all.

You should accept the typically Carribean circumstances ( reggea, little shabby, motorbikes) and you will have a lovely stay there. Everything is within walking distance but you can rent a buggy or bike to go around. There are colourful festivals like the Emancipation Day or the August 7 Carneval in San Luis. Do not miss the Aquarium and Johnny Cay! The best beaches are in San Luis.

The location is really close to the beach which is really handy as the beach is fabulous, we also loved the little outdoor terrace and having the ability to cook. You can also catch buses nearby to explore the island. We were trying to organise trips and one of the cleaning ladies who didn't speak English, tried really hard to help us, and was very friendly.
