I liked everything about this hotel. The location for me was perfect with a very well equipped gym right across the road. You also get free entry to the gym when you stay at Le Patta Resort and Hotel. The staff were very nice and the buffet breakfast was one of the best I have had. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and I would definitely stay here again if I'm back in Chiang Rai.

Truly a paradise. The scenery on the way up to the accommodation is amazing. Lots of beautiful nature. We were welcomed by the hosts and brought to our room. The room is very clean, modern and very nice. The outside area has a big jacuzzi and lovely garden set where you can sit and enjoy the view. The hosts brought us an afternoon tea, which was absolutely delicious. Some fresh jasmine tea and fresh fruits, with sweet pastries. Our dinner was an original “Akka” dinner, which is a Thai tribe from this area. It was amazing. We woke up to a beautiful view of the mountains and clouds with a wonderful breakfast. Easily the best experience we’ve had in Thailand, maybe even the best experience we’ve had anywhere. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

We loved this little hotel! The location on the lake was just beautiful. Unfortunately the weather wasn't that good when we were there but the host 'Ian & his staff" made us feel at home in every way. From looking at Ian's beloved motorbike collection to his knowledge and advice on things to do & see in the local area was just fabulous 👌 Breakfast was great too...If you are looking at staying up near the Golden Triangle, look no further! You won't be disappointed with this little hidden gem...

The staff were so welcoming and offered us a drink and a free room upgrade on arrival- a really unexpected surprise! The room was lovely - large, clean and comfortable with a lovely outside seating area. We had a couple of drinks and food in the restaurant in the evening. Very good and reasonably priced. Breakfast was great and also good value. The pool area was very nice and clean and looked welcoming, although we didn’t have a swim. We were on a journey so only stayed one night but were very tempted to stay longer. Location was good - although out of town - not a problem for us as we had transport.

This place is paradise. Lots of bamboo buildings amidst gardens, fantastic views over hills and mountains. Lots of options at breakfast and for dinner (though for the latter, as in most places, not quite enough vegetarian options). Staff were all very friendly. The location is fairly isolated, but the resort itself is just a wonderful place to relax in a scenic, unpressured environment in the midst of beautiful gardens. Nice experience one day when a horse-riding monk from a nearby monastery turned up to collect offerings and bless the place.

Serene and feels like home. Feels like in Bali too, unexpected for sure serenity and relaxation. Feels like in Anantara bit smaller scale. You will like it if going as a couple, family who appreciate relaxation and greens. There is Thai & Italian restaurant side by side if we would like to order for both can sit at the terrace to have both menus (perfect idea), Happy Hour from 5-7pm available too. Kudod to GM Eric is very warm and always seeing him around the premises making sure every guest is been taking care of.

Location and ease of check-in. I was looking for a place that allows late check-in and most hotels limit till 8pm. My flight arrived Chiang Rai airport at 9 pm. I took the bus from the airport into the city, and walked 10 minutes to the hotel. I was allowed to check in late here. The room was small, clean and basic. It was good enough for my short stay.

Chiang Rai is a pretty small and quiet city with not a lot going on in town. If you time it right you can see all the major attractions near the city in one day (White and Blue Temple, Big Buddha, Baan Dam Museum) and just need to spend one night there. If you are planning to do things up in the mountains you will need more time. But you will also need a car/motorbike, private driver, or tour if you want to do these things.

Mae Salong is a beautiful haven for a getaway. Firstly, there are a few tea farms on the mountains. The scent of flowers wafts through the air almost wherever you go. Nothing is like the beauty of sun rise and sun set here. Last but not least, food is good.

The hotel is value for money. Clean and tidy rooms. I was in a double bed room with a co-joined 2 single beds room. Perfect for family. Staff were very helpful with an on arrival last minute room request.

There are several nice places to visit.

There are several nice places to visit. Downtown has a couple of nice, peaceful temples and some nice bars and restaurants. The White Temple and the Blue Temple are both worth seeing. Expect there to be crowds. A nice place to while away a couple of hours is the Cat n' Cup. You can have a coffee, hang out, and pet the kitties. Have a nice breakfast at the Hungry Nest Cafe.

I ❤️ Mae Salong.

I ❤️ Mae Salong. The clean crisp air and many local ethnic groups make this a great place to visit Love staying at Shin Sane GH or Little House GH. Each still offer great prices for cottages and Shin Sane still has the original rooms from wooden house and at a shoestring price for this region Love eating at Yunnan noodles down the road a bit past 7 Eleven and Salima’s. There’s a pure veg place heading towards the cathothic school nearby.

A great city to do a border run, particularly if you stay at Fortune Riverview Hotel Chiang Khong - which seems to be the nicest accommodation in the area. We enjoyed our stay here quite a bit and would return.

Acceptable for one night. You need a car to get to the hotel. The rooms are not soundproof. Quite loud from the traffic. The hotel is located directly on the main street. The breakfast is not bad and with good coffee to make yourself with a coffee machine.

Do Much to see and explore. Markets, walking tours and all day tours to see all the nearby points of interest as well as cooking classes. Night market steps away yet quiet for sleeping. Safe for solos even elderly!

Chiang Khong, a lovely little town next to the river. Views are amazing and the food is good. It is not very big so staying for an extended time may be dull for some. Great for relaxing and quiet. Excellent for walking and/or riding bicycles.
