The first thing you will experience in Cotonou is the cleanliness of the city and how welcoming the people are. I love the hotel, Beach Sand Hotel & Resort which offered me some guides about the best spots to visit. My favorite spots are Place Amazone and Graffiti Wall. Getting around Cotonou is relatively easy. The hotel I stayed assisted me in getting the Yango and Gozem Apps for easier commuting. The hotel I stayed has a great menu, though I ate once at the Terranga Restaurant which was amazing! For solo travelers, going to Code Bar will definitely give you the ambiance needed.

Cotonou is a vibrant and welcoming city with a great mix of culture, local markets, beautiful beaches, and friendly people. I enjoyed the lively atmosphere, delicious food, and the opportunity to experience the rich culture of Benin, making my visit both enjoyable and memorable.

Cotonou is a small city with everything close by.
Cotonou is a small city with everything close by. The airport, fidjrosse family beach, Amazon monument, Erevan super u market, presidential palace, congress and parliament is around the same vicinity. Haie vice is the most beautiful and expensive neighborhood with rich expats. Yango is the cheapest form of transportation apart from the motorbikes/zem. Gozem is overpriced and the drivers can be swindlers. Most tourist sites are free to access. The cathedrals are aesthetically pleasing.

Cotonou is beautiful!
Cotonou is beautiful!
The people are so friendly and honest. Its very easy to get around with the zems (Bikes). You can also download the Gozem app to book taxis and such.
The food is very tasty how howbeit expensive.
Also its best if you can speak some French, you will barely find any english speakers here.

Most of the iconic sites to see are not too far away, including the beach! The city is generally clean and relatively low cost on transport if you use the local taxi apps; Motorcycles are as many as the population of people!
We only stayed one day so definitely too short to give a complete review. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Cotonou and highly recommend it as a tour destination.

My friends and I still talk about the meals we had at King Food.
It is very easy to get around Cotonou. Download Gozem and you can never be stranded.

I really liked the hotel. It was pretty central. Clean. Very cozy room. It had English channels on the TV. Breakfast was really good. The staff was very accommodating. There was a bit of a language issue at times but that always resolved itself. They tried. They really tried. Thank God for Google. There was some road construction going on outside. Not that anything was happening and it was quiet. It's just that taxis could get to the hotel that easy as it was one way traffic. It was close to a couple of restaurants.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The hotel was very functional and enjoyable. I booked a standard room and was very impressed with the space, bed size and amenities that came with the room. The general ambience was welcoming. Oh and the food was great too. The location? - perfect. We were visiting the Port and it was just a stone-throw away. Would definitely recommend.

The location is almost central in Cotonou and is close to various tourist areas. The apartment was very spacious, the WiFi worked through out, the host was very accommodating and patient especially as we don’t speak French. It was a memorable stay, I’d definitely use them again!

The closeness to the Sea, the clean facility and how welcoming and warm their staff was especially Mr Peter. I’d definitely come back to Cotonou and Le Hublot is perfect place.
