24-hour desk is great to have; the host was so helpful in getting us checked in and showing where's what. Being tired and sleep-deprived after a long travel, and arriving in the middle of the night, it sure was welcome. All the facilities are clean and well planned out. The bed is very comfortable. The whole place is very clean and feels very safe. I would definitely recommend for a solo female traveler.

The location was great as it is at City Center and walking distance to various attractions. Also overnight parking is just 10-15 mins walk away near the lake which is of great convenience. Staff was extremely friendly and made the room available for early check in knowing we needed it. Room comes with Nespresso machine and capsules and electric stove. We were lucky to have a nice balcony to our room.

It's a beautiful place, with great food.

It's a beautiful place, with great food. The scenary is spactacular with lots of options for sightseeing and shopping. We focused on just a few spots for our short 2 day stopover, so it was quite enjoyable. Be sure to eat at the out of way spots, because they were the most surprising. Service is different, not bad, just different. The road system is easy to figure out. Lots of traffic flow options that helped to keep it all moving. On the whole I would go again, as there were lots of things I didn't get to see and do on this trip. I also discovered Skyr and I am so hooked!!

Iceland is an interesting and unusual country and we enjoyed our three night stay in Reykjavik, the capital. This city is sophisticated and expensive and very popular with tourists so there were lots of opportunities to book tours, find out information and view and experience the wonderful sights that Iceland has to offer. Plus, the people are lovely and everyone we met spoke good English which made navigating everythig much easier than we had expected.

Basically a boring place...unless you are a hiker. Everything is grossly over-priced: 3x USA price for a simple cheeseburger. Taxis VERY expensive. Bad place to go to, unless for just two nights to just see the Northern Nights...and you are willing to blow your budget.

Iceland was packed with visitors trying to experience the solar eclipse and did very well accommodating them, with the exception of Keflavik Airport which seemed to have a meltdown when so many departed at the same time the following morning. The shop Iceland VAT free (refund) tax scheme is more like a scam and I found the team at the airport some of the only rude people in all of Iceland. Also the TSA threw out gifts that had been purchased even though they met all stated requirements for hand luggage, so I would recommend packing all souvenirs in checked luggage. Favorite restaurant was Forretabarrin. And Avis did an excellent job with car rental. We did both Blue Lagoon and Sky Lagoon and would recommend them. The former was more healing and the team at the latter was very customer service focused.

Amazing breakfast, very kind and helpful staff, incredible restaurant to have dinner, and just a 3 minutes walk from Bus Stop #1, where most tours depart from (Bus Stop #2 is equally close). It’s also just a small walk from the city center, hence definitely a great location. If you find the hotel’s restaurant too expensive, there are cheaper and very good alternatives nearby. The room we stayed at was cozy, equipped, and included basic amenities, like Nespresso coffee capsules and tea bags.

I really enjoyed staying 6 nights at the City Center Hotel in Reykjavík. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean, I got a nice room with a balcony. Conveniently located in the center with walking distance to main attractions, shops, restaurants etc. On the way back to Keflavik airport I took a taxi that work with the hotel. The driver Kali was kind and charged as expected. Highly recommend 👌 Takk firr, Meital

Lovely choice of common sitting areas. Great buffet breakfast - loads of variety and choice. Great location just a short stroll to city centre and shops. Next to the old working marina. Plenty of places to eat nearby but be aware if Icelandic prices - great quality food but not cheap - not the hotel’s fault in any way.
